Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Black Gold Physical Therapy Fort Mcmurray. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from various injuries or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Treatment Programs: Assist physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists in carrying out treatment programs to rehabilitate patients.
- Patient Positioning: Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Team Supervision: Supervise technical and support staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Supply Management: Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to meet the needs of patients and staff.
- Patient Education: Assist chiropractor with patient health education, providing valuable information to support patient recovery.
- Program Planning: Plan physiotherapy programs to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Exercise Selection: Select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations to support patient rehabilitation.
- Reporting: Maintain clinical and progress reports to track patient progress.
- Supply Management: Maintain supplies to ensure they are available when needed.
- Physical Examinations: Assist chiropractor with physical examinations, providing valuable support to the assessment process.
- Exercise Instruction: Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients, helping them to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
