Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to support our team at Black Gold Physical Therapy Fort McMurray. This role involves assisting in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries or managing disabilities.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by physiotherapists and occupational therapists to aid in patient recovery.
  • Assist in positioning patients for various treatments, whether by chiropractor or through the use of specialized equipment.
  • Oversee the work of technical and support staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of therapeutic equipment.
  • Prepare and organize necessary supplies and equipment for treatment sessions.
  • Support chiropractors in educating patients about their health and wellness.
  • Contribute to the planning of physiotherapy programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Select suitable exercises and techniques for patient rehabilitation.
  • Document clinical progress and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Manage inventory of supplies required for therapy sessions.
  • Assist in conducting physical examinations under the supervision of a chiropractor.
  • Instruct and supervise patients in performing therapeutic exercises.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years of relevant experience.
