About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Software Development to join our team at IQVIA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for our software development efforts, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to multiple directors and managers across the software development engineering family, including those in software development, cloud/systems development, DevOps, and QA & testing.
  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement a vision and strategy for software development that aligns with company-wide strategy and operations, driving the development of new products and software enhancements that bring IQVIA's organizational goals to fruition.
  • Corporate Planning: Oversee and direct the development of corporate-wide plans with direct impact on company revenue, expense, and growth.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Negotiate with and influence the decision-making of senior internal and external executives and decision-makers.
  • Talent Development: Inspire group leaders and directors to build and develop talent to meet long-term business objectives and strategy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience leading high-performance software development teams.
  • Skills: Strong ability to work cross-functionally, with a contagious passion for technology and a customer-first approach.
