Gulfian Resources Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Man/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our motel and surrounding areas.

Work Environment

Our motel is located in a rural area, and you will be working in all weather conditions. You will be required to relocate to our location, and we offer on-site housing options.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
