About the Role:

Sodexo Canada Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management:
    • Conduct daily rounds to ensure the facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
    • Maintain mechanical rooms and keep them neat and tidy, ordering supplies as needed.
    • Monitor trash overflow during rounds and manage door access to the site.
    • Perform routine check-ins at satellite facilities within the greater Montreal area.
  • Building Systems and Maintenance:
    • Ensure the operation of all building systems, including life safety, security, heating, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Manage and ensure quality of building and site services, including janitorial, landscaping, snow clearing, and other related services.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs safely, accessing rooftops, and climbing stairs/ladders as part of daily activities.
  • Customer Service and Communication:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to site tenants, vendors, and clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Ensure appropriate follow-up with clients and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Administrative and Technical Tasks:
    • Use appropriate systems to schedule and document work orders for reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
    • Manage the EMS/BMS system, including setpoints, occupancy setbacks, and other related tasks.
    • Develop energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives and propose capital expense improvements.

Requirements:

  • College or professional degree or related experience/certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in facility operations, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Proactive approach and flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented, with a focus on customer service and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
