Department: Prevention and Screening Clinical Services

The Prevention and Screening Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting the manager of Prevention and Screening Clinical Services. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations and providing supervision across a diverse range of programs, including the mobile cancer screening unit, clinical genetics initiatives, and diagnostic assessment services.

The coordinator is tasked with ensuring high-quality service delivery for cancer screening, assessment, and clinical pathways in alignment with the standards and guidelines set forth by Ontario Health partners, including Cancer Care Ontario and the Provincial Genetics Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, regional partners, vendors, and provincial and national agencies.
  • Manage operational processes to meet service delivery goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical pathways.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a post-secondary degree in health or business administration or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant healthcare experience. A valid G driver's license is required. Previous experience in outpatient clinic management or a strong understanding of clinical systems is considered an asset.

  • Proficient in navigating various electronic health information and client management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong commitment to patient and family-centered care while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively in challenging situations.

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Salary Range: $38.815 to $45.664
