Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Services Manager to join our team at The Westin Nova Scotian in the Halifax Seaport District. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of meeting plans to ensure total client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute meeting plans, including set up, meal functions, room reservations, group billing, and recreation arrangements
  • Act as liaison between clients and hotel staff to ensure smooth event execution
  • Prepare Event Orders, group resumes, and work with hotel departments to execute functions
  • Compile revenue forecasts and revise as necessary
  • Ensure guest satisfaction from inception to check-out
  • Coordinate guest room blocks, meeting space, and food & beverage functions
  • Inspect meeting rooms for cleanliness and proper setup
  • Conduct pre-convention meetings and exit interviews
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel catering or event management
  • Degree in hotel management preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours with minimal notice
