Legal Billing Administrative Assistant

A prominent legal practice is seeking a dedicated administrative professional to support the billing department. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of billing processes within the firm.

Work Environment: Hybrid model with comprehensive employee benefits, mentorship opportunities, and a collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record time entries for attorneys;
  • Compile expense reports for legal staff;
  • Manage the opening and closing of client files;
  • Develop billing projects in accordance with client contracts;
  • Revise descriptions on billing documentation;
  • Email final invoices, credit notes, and account summaries;
  • Perform conflict of interest assessments;
  • Digitally archive billing projects and final invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an ASP in secretarial or legal studies, DEP in accounting, or AEP in administrative support;
  • At least 1 year of experience in billing within professional services;
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite;
  • Fluent in French with functional proficiency in English.
