Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Specialist to enhance our property management team, focusing on our northern campuses. As an essential member of our service-driven group, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, operational, and inviting for all.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including general upkeep, emergency and routine repairs, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow clearing. The ideal candidate will be adept at safely using motorized tools, construction equipment, and machinery. Comfort in diverse work settings, including climbing ladders, maneuvering in tight spaces, and lifting or transporting items, is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of building and grounds maintenance and operations
  • Physical ability to perform a wide range of manual tasks
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving history
  • WHMIS certification
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications

Candidates should be prepared to thrive in a dynamic work environment characterized by varying workloads and deadlines. You should be recognized for your approachability, teamwork, and adaptability when engaging with clients and colleagues.

Additional Considerations:

  • The selected candidate will be required to complete all mandatory training as per agency policies and guidelines.
  • Employees must possess a Class 5 novice two (2) or higher driver's license and be eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy.
