POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep and functionality of building systems, ensuring meticulous documentation of maintenance activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the effective management of building systems operations.
  • Supervises the efforts of contracted labor and skilled trades personnel.
  • Develops, maintains, and documents maintenance schedules.
  • Contributes to the formulation and execution of a proactive maintenance strategy.
  • Conducts and/or aids in minor repairs and maintenance tasks on the premises and fixtures as necessary.
  • Facilitates the relocation and installation of equipment and fixtures.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Certification in Arena Operations 1 and 2 or the ability to acquire within six months of employment.
  • Certification in Pool Operations 1 or the ability to acquire within six months of employment.
  • Building Systems Technician Certificate or equivalent educational background or relevant work experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in mechanical and building systems maintenance.
  • At least six months of supervisory experience.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Current driver's abstract demonstrating a safe driving record.
  • Criminal Record Check.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Physical capability to perform all job functions.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and under physically demanding circumstances.
