Job Title: Investment Operations Senior Analyst

UBC Investment Management is seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our investment operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our investment framework and providing critical analysis and research to contribute to the ongoing management of our funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and research to support the investment operations team
  • Develop and maintain internal databases and utilize third-party software systems to conduct analysis
  • Assist with conducting portfolio performance attribution analysis
  • Support the Manager Selection team with due diligence and ongoing monitoring of investment fund managers
  • Contribute to portfolio construction development and monitoring financial market developments
  • Assist with the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements for UBC Investment Management's Board and client portfolios
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or similar quantitative discipline
  • ~2-5 years' of relevant experience working with institutional investment portfolios
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, capable of in-depth analysis, keen attention to detail
  • Experience with multiple investment asset classes, working knowledge of investment performance attribution, and experience or education in R, R Studio, Python, VBA, SQL
