Investment Operations Senior Analyst

UBC Investment Management is seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Senior Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the investment operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Total Portfolio Management and risk management functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth analysis and research to contribute to the ongoing management of our funds.
- Assist with managing UBC Investment Management's internal database and utilizing third-party software systems to conduct analysis.
- Support the Investment Manager Selection team with due diligence and ongoing monitoring of investment fund managers.
- Contribute to portfolio construction development and assist with analysis on UBC Investment Management's Investment Programs.
- Monitor financial market developments on an ongoing basis and contribute to reporting to internal team.
- Support strategic projects advancing UBC Investment Management's investment process and systems.
- Assist with the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements for UBC Investment Management's Board and client portfolios.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or similar quantitative discipline.
- ~2-5 years' of relevant experience working with institutional investment portfolios.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, capable of in-depth analysis, keen attention to detail.
- The following would be considered an asset: experience with multiple investment asset classes, working knowledge of investment performance attribution, experience or education in R, R Studio, Python, VBA, SQL, experience using Bloomberg, Refinitiv and other investment analytical tools.
