Data and Business Intelligence Architect

Key Responsibilities
As a Data and Business Intelligence Architect at KPI Digital, you will be tasked with:
- Ensuring that all data models, from conceptual to physical, are thorough, coherent, and aligned.
- Aligning the metamodel layer with the dimensional model's purpose, which is to facilitate the creation of 'Dynamic Dashboards' that reflect Sales metrics across a complex network of stakeholders including manufacturers, large retailers, architects, contractors, end customers, and specialized stores.
- Drafting a comprehensive Business Requirements Document (BRD) and obtaining feedback and approvals from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Lead Architect.
- Guiding data engineers in the process of data transformation towards the Cold Zone through detailed specifications and support.
Required Skills and Experience
The following qualifications are essential for this role:
- Strong understanding of business processes and objectives, coupled with an ability to relate these to data (SIPOC, CRUD, etc.).
- Proficiency in Data Modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, or similar tools like Erwin and Embarcadero.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, Databricks, and Event Hub, with a focus on understanding their roles rather than technical details to effectively collaborate with the Data Engineering team.
- Ability to quickly grasp the strategic directions set by the Practice Lead.
- Skill in clarifying ambiguous concepts and making them understandable.
- Pragmatic approach that considers constraints without compromising on design integrity.
- Capability to identify critical aspects worth prioritizing over less significant details.
