Data and Business Intelligence Architect

Key Responsibilities
As a Data and Business Intelligence Architect at KPI Digital, you will be tasked with:
- Ensuring that all data models, from conceptual to physical, are thorough, coherent, and consistent.
- Aligning the metamodel layer with the goals of the dimensional model to facilitate the creation of 'Dynamic Dashboards' that encompass Sales metrics across a complex network of stakeholders, including manufacturers, large retailers, architects, contractors, end customers, and specialized stores.
- Developing a comprehensive Business Requirements Document (BRD) and obtaining feedback and approvals from subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Lead Architect.
- Assisting data engineers in the transition of data to the Cold Zone through detailed specifications and guidance.
Required Experience and Skills
The following qualifications are essential for this role:
- Strong understanding of business processes and objectives, coupled with a solid grasp of data relationships (SIPOC, CRUD, etc.).
- Proficiency in Data Modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, as well as familiarity with alternatives like Erwin and Embarcadero.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, Databricks, and Event Hub, primarily from a conceptual standpoint rather than a technical one, to effectively collaborate with the Data Engineering team.
- Able to quickly comprehend the strategic directions set by the Practice Lead (former chief architect).
- Capable of clarifying ambiguous concepts rapidly and effectively.
- Pragmatic approach to design, considering constraints without compromising on quality.
- Ability to identify and prioritize critical aspects worth advocating for, as opposed to less significant details.
