Position: Complex Care Housing Support Staff

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent

This full-time permanent role is designed for a candidate who possesses a deep understanding of the health and social factors affecting individuals facing homelessness or at risk of it, particularly those dealing with mental health and addiction challenges. The Complex Care Housing Support Staff will implement high-quality, resident-centered programs throughout the spectrum of community services and collaborate with local support networks and service providers. This position will adhere to professional standards and evidence-based practices, tailoring services to meet the unique needs of each resident as they navigate their personal and cultural journeys.


Key Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education combined with relevant experience;
  • Ability and willingness to assist residents in identifying, developing, and enhancing their cultural identity and personal life plans;
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities in a culturally relevant context;
  • Required certifications include First Aid, Class 4 Driver's License, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; applicants willing to obtain these after hiring will also be considered;
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check;
  • Compensation is set at $26 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and RRSP contributions.

Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants.
