As a volunteer, your role will involve facilitating activities aimed at reducing loneliness among elderly residents. Additionally, you will engage in eco-friendly initiatives as part of a community 'green brigade' to enhance neighborhood interaction.

Your Role as a Civic Service Volunteer

Goals

You will be part of the Mediation and Social Development team, which was established to support elderly residents. Your responsibilities will include addressing social isolation, promoting independence, and offering daily assistance.

Through intergenerational initiatives focused on environmental education and awareness, you will contribute to building a stronger community spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide home visits to elderly residents for social interaction.
  • Accompany seniors on excursions to various destinations.
  • Design and facilitate intergenerational workshops.
  • Implement environmental awareness initiatives.
  • Coordinate events that encourage community engagement.

About the Organization

SC2S Pays-de-la-Loire is a collaborative initiative aimed at supporting the elderly while involving youth in impactful service projects throughout the region. Our mission is to create meaningful experiences for volunteers and strengthen connections among young individuals.

Additional Information

  • 2 volunteers are required.
  • Open to minors.
  • 24-30 hours per week.
  • Target Audience: All age groups, especially Seniors.
