Position Title: Mental Health Technician, Part-Time

Overview: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Mental Health Technician (MHT) is responsible for delivering direct care to patients in an adult inpatient setting. The MHT plays a crucial role in maintaining a therapeutic environment and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and support in daily activities.
  • Document patient interactions, including progress notes and observation reports, accurately and promptly.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients while upholding therapeutic boundaries.
  • Recognize and respond to patient behaviors that may lead to crises, employing both verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of therapeutic group activities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the milieu, with a strong focus on safety.

Qualifications: Candidates must meet specific experience and educational requirements to be considered for this role. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
