We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at Santhiya Logistics Inc.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Driver's License: A valid Class 1 or A driver's license is required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week, with regular overtime as needed. The job will involve long hours on the road, with regular breaks and rest periods.
