Winter Road Maintenance Operator

Emcon Services Inc. is looking for a dedicated Seasonal Snow Removal Operator to enhance our team. The successful applicant will possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have between 1 to 7 months of experience in operating various vehicles and machinery. The work environment may involve exposure to cold, hazardous, hot, noisy, odorous, and wet conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, lubricate, refuel, and maintain equipment
- Operate snowploughs, salt trucks, sanding vehicles, and snow transportation trucks
- Notify the supervisor of any equipment malfunctions
- AZ class license
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (for semi-trailer trucks)
- Class 3/3F/DF Licence (for trailer trucks and vehicles with more than 3 axles)
- DZ class license
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Able to perform well under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team
- Compensation in accordance with the collective agreement
- Standard work hours of 40 hours per week
