Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Professional to join our esteemed team at McKenzie HCR, a state-of-the-art long-term care facility in the West Kootenays. As a Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient-centered care to our cherished residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents with complex needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify resident needs and preferences
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document resident care and progress in electronic medical records

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in electronic documentation and eMar systems
  • Fluency in verbal and written English
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
