Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Manager to join our team at Farm Boy. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, including ordering, merchandising, labour scheduling, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of bakery staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Safe Food Handling regulations and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in store coverage rotation as a Manager on Duty, including opening and closing the store, and supporting alarm system emergencies.
Requirements
  • Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
  • Successful completion of a Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve plus Level A First Aid and Basic CPR certification, or the commitment to complete within 6 months.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of performance and flexibility.
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset.
