Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Examine patients, take their histories, order diagnostic tests, and advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Consult and refer to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and provide support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related information as required.
- Full-time

- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
