Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Team Leader plays a crucial role within the Accounts Receivable, National Finance, and Scheduling teams. This position is responsible for guiding a regional billing team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining accurate documentation, and overseeing daily operations while contributing to key performance metrics in alignment with Linde's policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and onboard new team members, particularly regarding new initiatives;
  • Engage in projects or initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert;
  • Monitor and assess team performance through established KPIs, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and implement enhancements that boost productivity and customer satisfaction, ensuring data integrity and governance;
  • Support and provide backup for team members;
  • Identify and communicate potential risks or challenges;
  • Foster effective and cooperative working relationships;
  • Assist the team in resolving conflicts;
  • Conduct reconciliations and investigations as necessary;
  • Participate in both internal and external audits;
  • Contribute significantly to the monthly closing process, ensuring deadlines are met;
  • Ensure all process documentation and standard operating procedures are accurate and adhered to by the team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Over five years of experience in billing, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity;
  • Familiarity with major enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential;
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles related to billing, collections, and accounts receivable;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer service capabilities;
  • Demonstrated initiative with outstanding organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment;
