About the role

Become a vital member of the Commercial Solutions Team and contribute to the stability of the housing finance system. As a Securitization Policy Analyst, you will leverage a diverse set of research and analytical skills to drive enhancements and innovations in CMHC's mortgage funding initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or support the formulation of strategies, policies, and risk management approaches for CMHC's mortgage funding operations.
  • Conduct research on capital market trends and provide insights and recommendations regarding their implications for our mortgage funding initiatives.
  • Assess the effectiveness of strategies and policies, developing metrics to evaluate outcomes.
  • Prepare briefing documents and communication materials tailored for various stakeholders.
  • Offer policy interpretation and guidance on CMHC's mortgage funding initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of strategies and risk management frameworks.
Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in business, economics, or finance.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in capital markets, particularly in securitization products.
  • Proven experience in developing strategies and policies that align with risk appetites.
  • Experience in creating briefing and presentation materials.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Power BI, or other financial analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A professional accreditation in the securities field or an accounting designation.
