About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Broker to join our team. As a Senior Broker, you will play a key role in shaping the risk management strategies of our clients, providing expert advice and guidance to help them navigate complex insurance markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with underwriters to secure the best terms and conditions for our clients;
  • Verify policy and documentation accuracy in accordance with terms and conditions;
  • Collaborate with account executives to develop coverage strategies and marketing initiatives;
  • Analyze client-specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements;
  • Prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
  • Negotiate and maintain positive relationships with the underwriting community;
  • Follow up with insurers to confirm terms of negotiated contracts;
  • Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions, and renewals;
  • Act as a mentor and peer coach to the Broking team;
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and advising to Associate Brokers and Broking Coordinators;
  • Lead by example, demonstrating and sharing the importance of standard methodologies;
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of broking or related experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both verbally and written in both French and English;
  • Client-focused and proven relationship-building skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven track record to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package;
