Transformative Opportunity in Pharmacy Excellence

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be part of a state-of-the-art Future-of-Pharmacy Clinic Design, turning heads across Canada.

About the Role

As a pharmacist at our Future-of-Pharmacy Clinic, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, dispensing, and controlling medications accurately and timely to patients

  • Ensuring medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs

  • Counseling patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive interaction

  • Creating awareness and educating customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)

  • Administering vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program (Point-of-Care testing, Prescription Modification and Advancement, Minor Ailments, etc.)

  • Providing pharmaceutical professional services such as medication reviews, minor ailments, specialty medication teaching

  • Providing timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues

  • Reviewing and controlling costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)

  • Providing ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, assistants, students, IPGs)

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a Class A Pharmacist's license

  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism

  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills required

  • Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience formulating and executing action plans

  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as a working knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy Computer system
