Job Title: Manager, Business and Performance Management

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the airport's safety and operational efficiency during disruptions and emergencies.

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Business Resilience to join our Airport Operations Department. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Service Delivery & Resilience and lead the emergency planning team responsible for administering the Emergency Management Plan.

The team will establish guidelines and procedures to support the airport's response to various types of emergencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies related to emergency planning and facility life-safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead emergency planning initiatives and projects, including legislated major training/simulation exercises.
  • Support corporate-wide activities related to the implementation of the Authority's Business Continuity Planning framework.
  • Provide direction to a dedicated team of employees, including monitoring work efforts and performance, hiring, coaching, motivating, and supporting developmental activities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and business partners, including those providing life-safety services, to build and maintain effective relationships.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have five years' recent, related progressive experience in a leadership role within an operational environment (emergency planning), supplemented by a bachelor's degree in public safety, public administration, business continuity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of multi-agency, full-scale emergency exercise and simulation planning and delivery, disaster planning and response, and proven sound judgment and decision-making skills to manage operational and emergency situations.
