Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our global manufacturing organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization
- Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to improve manufacturing methods and reduce waste.
- Analyze and optimize work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
- Production Planning
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to inform management decisions.
- Confers with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods.
- Quality Assurance
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.
- Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
