Bakery Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Bittersweetsymphony Ltd. as a key member of our bakery team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for various baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats, according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Work Setting:

Bake shop environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Work Language:

English.

Hours:

40 hours per week.
