About the Role

This position reports to the Utility Director and is responsible for selling products and services to within the electrical utility market in Ontario, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs and promote customer understanding of full product and services offering.
  • Prepare sales plans using company tools and perform regular status reviews to propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Create added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals using effective sales techniques.
  • Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
  • Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support collection and project management activities when needed.
Qualifications
  • Technical college, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience with demonstrated track record of selling technical offers.
  • Understand medium and low voltage electrical systems and experience with channel partners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.com.
