Emil Anderson Equipment is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our skilled team. The successful candidate will engage in the upkeep and repair of various construction machinery, including but not limited to loaders, dozers, excavators, and dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating mechanical systems to detect any signs of damage, defects, or wear.
  • Support the execution of service repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery.
  • Help in the replacement of worn, damaged, or malfunctioning mechanical components.
  • Operate machinery to demonstrate its functionality or identify issues.
  • Assist in the completion of necessary paperwork and maintain precise records.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed under the guidance of a qualified Journeyman Mechanic.

Required Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in proximity to heavy machinery.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with a positive outlook.
  • Natural aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a dynamic setting.
  • Previous experience or training in heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and enhance skills within the trade.
  • Basic computer proficiency for utilizing equipment tracking systems.

Compensation: $28-$36/hr

The salary range for this position will be discussed during the interview process, taking into account the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
