Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to implement design concepts and coordinate project timelines. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering specifications and drawings to clients with precision and adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver specifications and drawings to clients with precision and adherence to project timelines
  • Oversee the functionality of the production team
  • Prepare mechanical system drawings for various facilities
  • Conduct site visits and ensure code compliance during construction
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain drawing integrity
  • Assist with bid and tendering processes
  • Supervise CAD Technicians and delegate design tasks
  • Attend site meetings and communicate directly with clients
  • Provide technical and administrative support throughout project phases
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure on-time project completion
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Familiarity with engineering standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
