Meridia Recruitment Solutions is partnering with Greystone Energy Systems Inc. to recruit a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering team in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Job SummaryThe Senior Engineering Manager will play a critical role in managing Greystone's Engineering department, which includes Mechanical Design, Software Design, Hardware Design, and Testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company's technical strategy, overseeing the Product Life Cycle, and managing product development processes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all Engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Software, Hardware, and Testing.
- Manage product lifecycle activities related to new product development, product renovations, and bug fix solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product direction and strategy.
- Lead the development and implementation of engineering processes, policies, and best practices.
- Manage R&D activities and maintain a Technology Roadmap in cooperation with Product Management.
- Advise leadership on long-term technical strategies and investments.
- Coach and mentor engineering teams, promoting professional development and personal growth.
- Develop, articulate, and continuously evolve the company's technical direction, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Analyze and manage budgets and resources for near and long-term projects.
- Facilitate design reviews and ensure all technical and schedule requirements are met.
- Continuously assess and improve the skills and capacity of the engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical diploma, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
- Proven experience in managing interdisciplinary teams in R&D and product development.
- Experience with HVAC and/or Electronics is a strong asset but not required.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and fostering innovation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, Manufacturing, and Product Management.
- Experience in budget preparation and project management.
