Join Our Team as a Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Designer

At MCW Group of Companies, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various projects, including healthcare, hospitality, commercial, institutional, residential, public, and private facilities.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement design concepts for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
  • Prepare and produce drawings and schematics for mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including architects and consultants, to ensure drawing integrity and completeness.
  • Prepare contract documents, including specifications.
  • Conduct site visits during the construction phase.
  • Work with the field review team to ensure code compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Evaluate shop drawing reviews.
  • Supervise and delegate design tasks to CAD technicians.
  • Provide technical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Background in developing construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in multi-disciplined project coordination and management.
  • Experience in site investigations and construction review.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current engineering principles and practices, complemented by a strong understanding of project management concepts and practices.
