Job Summary:

ComForCare North Simcoe is seeking a compassionate and professional Personal Support Worker to join our Barrie team. As a PSW, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in a retirement facility, guided by an individualized care plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
  • Provide ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises with assistive devices
  • Assist with toileting and incontinence care
  • Meal planning, preparation, and assistance with eating
  • Companionship and meaningful engagement activities
  • Homemaking tasks, including light housekeeping, dusting, and laundry
  • Electronic documentation as per agency policy
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a PSW certificate course
  • At least six months experience as a PSW in a community care setting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • The ability to obtain a vulnerable sector check acceptable to ComForCare North Simcoe
