Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project delivery through all technical phases and milestones;
- Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting;
- Manage cross-functional project teams effectively;
- Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and financial plans;
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders;
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams;
- Collaborate with team members, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies;
- Review design documentation and create presentation materials;
- Develop and implement the Project Plan;
- Manage alterations to project scope, schedule, and budget;
- Oversee the creation and delivery of contract specifications;
- Implement and supervise quality control and assurance programs;
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, including mitigation strategies;
- Analyze project schedules for key activities and milestones;
- Supervise Engineers, Coordinators, and support personnel on the project;
- Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure project success;
- Facilitate knowledge transfer through guidance, peer review, and mentoring;
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering) from an accredited institution;
- Registered Professional Engineer in Canada (preferably in Alberta);
- At least 15 years of relevant experience;
- Proven experience leading diverse project teams;
- Expertise in major transportation infrastructure projects such as highways, transit systems, and airports;
- Familiarity with P3 projects and alternative delivery methods;
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities;
- Ability to adapt and manage project timelines effectively;
- Experience with scheduling software is advantageous;
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Capacity to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.
