Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Compensation and HR Systems is a key member of the Summit Search Group team, responsible for overseeing and supporting all cash compensation and payroll programs, policies, and processes. This role involves leading HRIS implementation and maintenance initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of additional modules and supplementary systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • HRIS Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison for the core HR Information System (HRIS), collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous enhancements and ensure seamless integration of additional modules and supplementary systems.
  • Cash Compensation Programs: Develop, implement, and manage all cash compensation programs and related processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee the payroll function, ensuring that all payments, reporting, and government remittances are accurate, timely, and in accordance with internal standards and external legislative requirements.
  • Salary Review and Equity: Manage the administration of the annual salary review process, variable compensation plans, job evaluation programs, and processes, ensuring pay equity compliance and external market competitiveness.
  • HR Systems Planning: Lead the development and execution of a systems plan and related components, designed to enhance the quality and accessibility of employee and HR-related information.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to a team of direct reports, offering ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities while fostering a positive organizational culture and conducive work environment.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proficient in guiding and mobilizing teams to achieve specified business objectives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Extensive familiarity with job evaluation techniques, salary surveys, and benchmarking compensation.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Proficiency in crafting statistical and analytical reports.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, along with expertise in compensation modeling and project management.
  • HR Data Analysis: Skilled in comprehending and dissecting HR data through HRIS platforms and custom reports.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Confidentiality in handling employee information in a professional manner.
  • Work Ethic and Teamwork: Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Attention to Detail: Very high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical Thinking: Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of related experience in compensation, payroll, and HRIS-related experience, along with 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Designations: Related designations are an asset.
