Sessional Instructor, Bachelor of Science in Nursing

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Faculty Member to join our team at North Island College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality instructional materials and courses in nursing education
- Teach and assess student learning in a variety of settings, including classroom and clinical environments
- Develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Provide guidance and support to students in achieving their academic and professional goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote excellence in teaching and learning
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)
- Experience teaching adults in a post-secondary setting
- Expertise in one or more areas of nursing practice, including Adult Surgery and Mental Health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in the use of computer applications and online learning management systems
- Experience with online learning and teaching
- Knowledge of Indigenous health and global health issues
- Ability to demonstrate evidence-informed practice and scholarly activities
The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including classroom and clinical environments. A valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
