Sessional Instructor, Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Sessional Instructor to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at North Island College. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in the practice course NUR 414: Nursing Practice VIII – Transitioning to BSN Graduate.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and prepare learning materials for instructional environments
- Teach in assigned subject areas and include all required subject matter or skill activity
- Direct student learning in a positive, supportive, and caring environment
- Be available to students regularly during scheduled office hours and classroom hours
- Clearly communicate learning outcomes and evaluation methods to students
- Maintain records of student enrollment and achievement
- Master's degree in Nursing, with one degree in Nursing
- Doctorate preferred
- Experience teaching adults, preferably at the post-secondary level
- Current registration with BCCNM (inclusive of Criminal Record)
- Current CPR level HCP
- Experience with Indigenous health and/or global health
- Experience using creative and motivating approaches to stimulate learning
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice and scholarly activities
