Position Overview

A Cost Estimator Specialist is sought to contribute to a distinguished real estate and development cost consultancy. The role will focus on cost estimation for various construction projects, particularly in the residential and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Conducting cost estimations and pricing for projects utilizing methodologies recognized in the cost consultancy field.
  • Employing CostX Software for accurate estimations.
  • Providing budgetary advice to clients and assisting them in managing their cost management systems.
  • Collaborating with a team of technical advisors and cost estimators.
  • Engaging in commercial management tasks.
  • Working effectively within a team environment.
  • Identifying and managing project risks.
  • Completing estimating tasks independently.
  • Offering support to colleagues and the accounts team during peak periods.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 2 years of cost estimating experience within the construction sector.
  • Proficiency in CostX software.
  • Experience with high-rise project estimates is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to career development.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • A solid understanding of the construction industry.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Educational Background

A degree in a relevant field related to Cost or Construction, such as Quantity Surveying, is preferred.
