Physician - Pain Management Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Pain Management Specialist to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission to reduce the incidence of cancer, reduce mortality from cancer, and improve the quality of life of those living with cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care team
- Provide consultation and education to other BC Cancer care teams and community-based care providers as required
- Support and engage in research and education interests in the area of palliative and supportive care
- Enhance awareness and provide public and provider education on palliative care and symptom management for oncology patients
Requirements:
- Must be a fully licensed physician
- Meet the requirements of the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer Agency
- Applicants from a CCFP background should have the Certificate of Added Competency in Palliative Care (CAC); and applicants with a Royal College background should have Palliative Medicine Subspecialty Accreditation or equivalent training and experience
