Job Title: Glazier

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass and other glazing materials in various commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each job
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door and window hardware, including handles and hinges
  • Instruct apprentices on proper glazing techniques and safety protocols
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for each project
  • Repair glass doors, windows, and other glass structures
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, using proper safety equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in glazing or a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
