Role Overview:

Reporting to the Agro Manager, the Sales Agronomist plays a crucial role in providing specialized guidance and strategic agricultural insights to cultivate enduring profitable partnerships with local producers. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of crop inputs, fertilizers, and agricultural machinery. The focus will be on nurturing customer relationships while enhancing the overall growth, sales, and profitability of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with customers to generate leads and drive sales.
  • Assessing local producer requirements and recommending company products and services to maximize agricultural productivity.
  • Fostering high levels of customer satisfaction and building relationships grounded in trust, service, and integrity.
  • Overseeing and monitoring inventory and bookings, as well as processing claims and invoices.
  • Delivering on-site farm support and facilitating the distribution of Co-op products.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You are seeking a career in Agriculture and possess:

  • A degree or diploma in agriculture with eligibility for registration with SIA.
  • A background in agriculture complemented by experience in a sales-oriented role.
  • Proven experience in customer engagement with a successful track record in relationship building.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Willingness to travel to various agricultural locations throughout Prairie North.
