About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SUN SET GRILL. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory records.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Customer Service and Safety
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
    • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and for extended periods.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.
