Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Strategic Events and Partnerships. This is a key role that will play a critical part in advancing our mission to become a world leader in quantum research and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for cultivating and developing external partnerships with stakeholders across industry, government, and academia.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic events and initiatives that support our mission and vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government representatives, industry partners, and community leaders.
  • Manage budgets, contractual staff, and vendors to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Represent the University of Waterloo at external events and meetings, promoting our research and technology capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, event planning, public relations, or marketing.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in a related field, with a proven track record of achievement and success.
  • Experience in an academic setting is an asset.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
