Social Media Growth and Engagement Manager

Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled organic social media marketing professional or agency based in the Pacific Time Zone (Canada or the USA) to collaborate with our marketing team as a long-term partner. This position will work closely with our Global Brand Marketing Lead to amplify our social media visibility and interaction, committing a minimum of 8 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly Collaboration: Engage in a 30-minute meeting each Monday with the Global Brand Lead to review project timelines, weekly agendas, and ensure cohesive strategies.
  • Community Engagement: Actively manage our online community by responding to inquiries and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. This will require approximately 1 hour of daily engagement from Monday to Friday (7am-12pm PST).
  • Content Development: Craft captivating and relevant copy for social media posts, ensuring consistency with our brand voice and adherence to best practices.
  • Content Planning: Strategically schedule posts across various social media channels to ensure a steady flow of content. All posts will undergo an approval process with the Brand Lead.
  • Design Coordination: Work alongside the design team to communicate content requirements, ensuring timely creation of all necessary assets.
  • Visual Content Creation: Utilize Canva templates to produce visual materials in various formats to support social media initiatives.
  • Social Media Management Tools: Employ Sprout Social for managing social media activities, including scheduling, analytics, and community interaction.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate monthly reports detailing audience growth, event results, and engagement metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Familiarize yourself with the RACI framework for each project, ensuring input and support from relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in essential tools: Slack, Canva, Sprout Social, Asana
  • Demonstrated experience in social media marketing, particularly in fostering organic growth across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Exceptional writing and copywriting abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • Stay informed about the latest social media trends and consider innovative ways to engage with our audience.
  • Familiarity with the accounting and professional services sector is advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates with a background in B2B social media marketing.
  • Experience in influencer marketing is a plus.

Performance Metrics:

  • Maintain average engagement rates: (LinkedIn: > 7.2%, Twitter: > 5%)
  • Achieve a month-over-month increase in overall followers (>1.5%)
  • Drive organic social traffic to the homepage year-over-year (>100 new users per month)
