Position Overview:
The Senior Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in assessing equipment valuations, conducting Asset Management Equipment Studies, and managing portfolio and end-of-term processes. This position will also support collections, customer service, and training initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Equipment Management, the role will collaborate closely with Sales and Credit teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in executing the business strategy, setting objectives, and fostering growth initiatives for the Unit.
- Achieve or surpass annual targets for sales, revenue, volume, and new customer acquisition.
- Utilize CARMA Credit, Jira, Ekip, and other software tools effectively.
- Guide the equipment finance team in reaching business development goals by suggesting structural or pricing alternatives that align with customer needs and TD's risk management framework.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with industry associations, TDEF US Asset Management Team, and appraisal professionals to ensure access to relevant data and updated bid lists.
- Recruit and onboard new appraisers to enhance business support.
- Conduct Asset Management Equipment Studies to ascertain residual values, orderly liquidation, and fair market values, while assisting in the upkeep of the TDEF database.
- Adjust purchase options and lease documentation as necessary.
- Complete all required compliance training and attestations within designated timelines.
- Adhere to Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the equipment finance market and related industries to provide valuable services to clients while minimizing risk to the Bank.
- Interpret and implement TD's risk management strategies.
- Establish and manage systems to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Deliver exceptional service at every interaction and continuously enhance the customer experience.
- Stay informed about market trends, equipment values, customer needs, and broader economic factors.
- Resolve issues for customers and internal partners to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop innovative and competitive solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Recognize and respond to shifts in the business landscape, formulating action plans to address customer priorities.
- Mentor team members in crafting creative equipment finance solutions that provide added value.
- Promote a positive workplace culture that values diversity.
- Engage in ongoing personal development aligned with business standards.
- Lead and actively participate in team meetings to facilitate transactions and capitalize on opportunities.
- Build and nurture productive relationships with business partners and industry contacts.
- Coach team members in developing effective equipment finance solutions that enhance customer value.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in Asset Management, Equipment Leasing, or the Financial Services sector.
- A university degree or equivalent; at least 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of equipment, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Proficient in advanced Excel skills; detail-oriented, organized, and proficiency in French is an asset.
