Job Title: Android Software Developer

CIeNET International is seeking a skilled Android Software Developer to join our team in Markham, Ontario, Canada. As a key member of our software development group, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of advanced infotainment systems for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement software solutions for in-vehicle infotainment systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software features
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality software development
  • Contribute to the development of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) components
  • Work with Android framework and device bring-up to ensure seamless integration
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of software development experience in related domains
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Android platform development
  • Experience with Linux platform development
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, and C programming languages
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as AndroidTestFramework, monkeyrunner, and Robolectric
  • Experience with Android development toolkit and process
  • Experience with software build tools such as makefile, ant, maven, and gradle
  • Experience with SCM tools such as GIT, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, and ClearCase
  • Practice with Scrum/Agile software development process
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
  • Experience with software development in a variety of OS environments
  • Experience with integration of Android framework and device bring-up
  • Experience with porting of Android ROM
  • Experience with development of automotive infotainment solutions
  • Experience with automotive and/or portable consumer electronic devices
Education and Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Graduate degree is preferred
  • Professional Engineering designation is a plus
