Under the guidance of the Team Lead or designate, you will provide comprehensive outreach nursing care, case management, and support services for mental health and substance use for designated clients, whether they are in healthcare facilities, residential environments, or community settings.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing community integration and minimizing the need for re-hospitalization.Collaboration with inter-professional community mental health and substance use teams, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service organizations is essential.
Work Schedule: Days and Evenings, 11:00 to 19:30 (Rotating)
Compensation :
The wage is: $59.52/hour

- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in mental health and substance use services or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.
- Completion of a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Graduate Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Experience with various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and others.
- Assessment and Intervention – Proven ability to conduct thorough client assessments and deliver nursing care through appropriate interventions.
- Communication – Strong ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, the public, medical personnel, and interdisciplinary team members through various communication methods.
- Critical Thinking – Capacity to synthesize and evaluate relevant data from multiple sources to solve problems effectively.
- Client-Centered Care – Ability to foster a client-focused approach that respects diverse cultures and advocates for social justice.
- Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Care:
Competence in creating culturally safe, trauma-informed healthcare environments through personalized care planning and collaborative service delivery, including Indigenous health services when applicable.
- Teaching – Ability to educate clients and others on essential health care topics.
- Management – Effective time and resource management, promoting collaboration among stakeholders.
- Leadership – Encourages team morale, cooperation, and professional development.
- Knowledge Integration – Utilizes factual information and best practices from nursing and health-related fields to inform decisions and actions.
