Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at GSP Custom Homes Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to construct and repair structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a solid and secure building framework.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to complete the interior and exterior finishes of a building.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in carpentry is an asset.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
